Services for Residents
Is the city meeting the needs of your neighborhood?
Are your leaves cleared up in a timely manner?
Is your street in good condition?
Would you like better sidewalks and bike lanes in your area?
I know that our city officials work hard to bring us the services we want, but frequently they are most worried about downtown and lose site of the outlying areas.
My focus is on the neighborhoods.
In my recent tenure as alderman I pushed to look at the sidewalks beyond downtown. District 3 has many homes away from Main Street, and I was a part of the discussions to bring better walkways toward Veteran’s Park, I’m still pushing for a path connecting Curtis Street to downtown, and I’ve been working on making the paths in Hillmoor easier to walk.
While I have few complaints about my street, the garbage pickup, the handling of yard waste and leaves, making some of these services better and less costly for the city is important.
Together we can have the city make these services better fit our needs.
Leaves raked to the street in anticipation of city collection.
The Hillmoor Commission is working on plans for Zone 1 and the trails that have funding.
The Commission has monthly meetings and has a newsletter with updates. Find information on their meetings and sign up for the newsletter here.
